Period 7 is made entirely of radioactive elements. It comprises the 14 actinides (Th to Lr) — including uranium and plutonium — followed by the transactinides (Rf to Og), all of which are artificially synthesised, often in quantities of a few atoms, with lifetimes sometimes shorter than a second. Their chemistry is extrapolated more than measured.
