Speedrun — Place the element

An element is announced, click on its cell in the empty table. The faster you are, the higher you climb. Each mistake costs 3 seconds. Three difficulty tiers.

02Location and memory

Atomic battleship

Atoms are hidden on the periodic table. The game announces an element, you must locate it by clicking its cell. Learn the geography of the table by playing.

Who Am I?

Progressive clues about an element: family, period, properties, etymology. Guess it as early as possible to maximise your score.

04Why play?

Spatial memory
identifying each element by position stabilises the visual memory of the table.
Speed
the clock pushes you to automate the symbol/atomic number reflex.
Gamification
revising without feeling like you're revising — that's the promise of all three modes.
