Anode and cathode: defined by the reaction
Anode = oxidation, cathode = reduction, in a galvanic cell and in an electrolytic cell alike. Mnemonic: An Ox, Red Cat. In the external circuit, electrons always travel from the anode to the cathode.
Name the anode and cathode without getting the sign wrong, link emf to Gibbs energy, and compute a deposited mass from a current and a duration.
